LEAVE IT TO THE EXPERTS.

Ebbeny and Omar Varinda bought a block two years ago with a very clear idea of what they wanted to achieve: a dream home they could settle into long-term and eventually raise a family in.

“We spent many weekends visiting various display homes, searching the newspaper for home opens, and keeping a collection of our favourite plans and decor from various home magazines,” said Ebbeny.
The Varindas initially decided to complete their home-building project as owner-builders, and started researching what they would need to do. According to the couple, the demands of their professional careers soon proved to be a major barrier to their progress.

“We couldn’t give the project enough of our time and commitment, so we chose instead to proceed through Webb & Brown-Neaves. We’d always been drawn to the quality finish and unique style of a Webb & Brown-Neaves home, and the attention to detail and fantastic interior design won us over. It was the best decision we could have made – and we wish we had made it earlier, ” said Omar.
The Varindas met with our Building and Design Consultant, Kim Gartrell, who helped them through the planning process. “His expert advice and friendly approach helped us confirm we had made the right decision to select this builder,” they said.

With a backyard that faces a lake, the Varindas knew they wanted to make use of the space and view. They adapted The Sunseeker design, which features an open living area, and alfresco, kitchen and dining areas to match their love of entertaining. Then the building process began.
“As you often hear in the industry, there’s never going to be a ‘perfect’ time to build. We have friends who built during ‘the boom’ and we’ve heard their horror stories of having to wait so long for tradies – so we knew there would be advantages to building in the downturn.”
“We’ve really enjoyed the building process. It’s been exciting visiting our home each day and watching it evolve… our dream becoming a reality. Seeing our plans transform from a thought bubble to bricks and mortar has been the most rewarding experience!”
