Third time is a charm for busy hills family. With four grown children and a family business to run, Bruce and Lisa Mercer have always found themselves with a lot of demands on their time. To make the most of their hard-earned leisure time, they wanted a home that would allow them to relax in style.

“We wanted to enjoy spending time with our close group of friends in style and comfort,” said Bruce. “After previously building two homes, we were looking for something long-term with easy living and entertaining areas. Our previous homes had too many disconnected areas, which made entertaining and outdoor living difficult.”

For their third home, the Mercers chose to build with Webb & Brown-Neaves. “We had always liked the quality of the finish of Webb & Brown-Neaves homes. We found the overall process was made easier with good cooperation from the subcontractors, the builder and Webb & Brown-Neaves staff.”

Bruce and Lisa worked with the Webb & Brown-Neaves team to create a home that would match their style and prime position in the hills.“We wanted our new home to represent a more classic style,” explained Bruce. “Living in the hills with city views and being positioned high on our street, federation style was perfectly suited to us.”
The Mercers are thrilled with their new home and enjoy inviting their friends and family to share their new space.
“We especially love our kitchen and living areas that open up to incorporate the outdoor alfresco and pool area. Plus, thanks to the suggestion of the Webb & Brown-Neaves team, we have an upstairs living room with an outlook and city views.”

Top tips from the Mercer Family
• Spend time thinking about each room or area and write down exactly what you want in each room, as it’s easy to overlook key items.
• It’s worth spending a little more on the finishing touches.
• Choose the right builder. We previously received poor service from other builders who didn’t listen to our requests.
