In October 2026, The Besser by Webb & Brown-Neaves was awarded the HIA Golden Key Award for Perth’s Best Display Home and the Perth’s Best Display Home Over $1.2 Million.

It’s a moment we’re incredibly proud of, and a reflection of the thought, care and craftsmanship that goes into every home we build.

The Besser brings together bold masonry and sculptural forms, softened by natural textures and a warm, muted palette. Timber, concrete and masonry carry through from the façade to the interiors, while skylights let light move through the ground-floor living spaces throughout the day.

It’s architecture with presence, but it’s also a home designed to be lived in, with spaces that stay connected yet feel distinct, a private master retreat and flexible upper-level areas that adapt to family life.

HIA Golden Key Award for Perth's Best Display Home

“The HIA Golden Key Award is awarded to the Display Home of the Year and recognises excellence across every aspect of residential building. Homes are judged on design innovation, architectural appeal, functionality and liveability, build quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail, presentation, and how effectively the home responds to the needs and aspirations of today’s home buyers. Winning the Golden Key Award signifies that the home has been assessed by industry experts as the benchmark display home in the state” – Housing Industry Association

HIA Perth's Best Display Home Over $1.2 million Award

“A bold expression of Gentle Brutalism, The Besser combines striking brickwork, geometric forms and a restrained palette of natural materials to create a home of warmth and architectural character. The exterior’s repetition of form carries through the interiors, where timber, concrete and masonry establish a cohesive design language. On the lower level, individual living spaces connect around the kitchen and dining areas, while skylights illuminate the porcelain masonry of the living room. The master suite offers a peaceful retreat with a freestanding bath and distinctive walk-in robe corridor. Above, a naturally lit sitting area, study nook and flexible rooms provide spaces that can evolve with the needs of the household.” – Housing Industry Association

Awards like these are the result of a collective effort. To our design and construction teams, our trade partners, and our supply partners thank you for helping bring The Besser to life. We’re grateful to the HIA for their continued support and for recognising the best of our industry.
