BUILDING THE NATURAL CHOICE FOR FAMILY SPACE.

When Chris and Janine were making plans for their family’s future, they faced some big decisions. With two teenagers at home and a business to run, having enough space for everybody was a priority.
“We were going to renovate the home we were living in, but decided as the kids get older they would want more space,” he said. “It made sense to build. We were very particular about how our home was to look; we didn’t want it to look like just another house in the street.”

Chris and Janine decided to build on the block they owned in Iluka. They had built their previous home with Webb & Brown-Neaves and decided to do the same with their newest family home. “We love the Webb & Brown-Neaves quality, service, and friendly people who make you feel like you are their only client,” said Chris. “Nothing is too much trouble and they show professionalism through the whole process. Our supervisor, John Reeley, was amazing. We also worked with some fantastic suppliers to give our home the finishing touches we wanted.”

Chris and Janine wanted a functional family home that reflected their relaxed style. “Our lifestyle is very casual, we love being in our home and entertaining with friends and family by the pool. We also love living by the beach, so we’ve featured a lot of natural products throughout our home.”
Some of these natural features include spotted gum flooring, decking and hand rails, oak-lined balconies and verandahs and natural stone flooring downstairs. For extra storage and a relaxing workspace, Chris and Janine also chose a triple garage, with built-in cupboards, a sink and a TV.
“We love our new home for its individual simplistic design, looks, functionality and the ideas we put in place together with the help of the builder. We love the space as there are no passages in the home at all, it’s all very open.”
